General Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Manage and implement digital tagging and analytics measurement strategy for Hertz Global portfolio of Digital products, including websites, blogs, mobile apps and reporting applications. This role will work closely with development, analytics, digital marketing and business team members to capture the data needed to drive business decisions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This role is part of the Digital Analytics & Performance Management team within the Hertz Global eCommerce organization. This team is focused on enabling new digital marketing capabilities and defining the strategic roadmap for evolving our ecommerce platforms across the digital and non-digital space. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of analytics and tagging strategy across all digital properties with a focus on enhancing our reporting, analytics, and paid media optimization activities.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and document customized analytics tracking specifications for all digital channels, including web, mobile apps, microsites
  • Partner with internal and external development teams to test and deploy new tracking solutions while monitoring and optimizing existing integrations
  • Ensure data capture is consistent and accurate across platforms
  • Track, prioritize, and manage analytics implementation initiatives across multiple teams; serve as contact for all analytics/tracking implementation requests
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to develop technical systems and processes to advance audience data capture, automate manual processes, and improve data collection and testing capabilities
  • Strengthen relationships with vendors of measurement products, and evaluate new tools and products to augment existing capabilities
  • Manage the testing, QA, QC and debugging of analytics/tagging code
  • Operate as the subject matter expert on web analytics and digital tagging
  • Management of Google Analytics & Google/Signal Tag Manager platforms for current and newly developed properties
  • Work with business partners and agencies to insure that all digital media is tagged and trackable so that standard reports can be created and shared regularly
  • Google & Bing Search console setup and management
  • Facebook & Twitter social media tagging and implementation
  • Technical and data analytical mind-set and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audience

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology

Required Experience and Skills:           

  • 3+ years hands-on experience with tag management systems like Signal, Google Tag Manager in web and mobile app environments
  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience with Google Analytics (360, Premium, Firebase) Google & Bing Search Consoles in web and mobile app environments
  • 2+ years’ experience with Adobe Target, DoubleClick in web and mobile app environments
  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS
  • Data Management Platform (DMP) implementation experience with services like Oracle (BlueKai), Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager
  • Strong understanding of A/B and multivariate testing techniques and best practices
  • Quantitative mindset, with a desire to work in a data-intensive environment
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for both digital media and digital technology
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process and project management systems (JIRA)
  • Familiarity with mobile app and connected device programming (xCode, Java, Brightscript, etc)
  • Advanced knowledge of tag management system and analytics implementation
  • Experience with Tableau and Domo tools

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Proven track record of configuring analytics platforms, tagging, and segmentation
  • JavaScript Programming experience
  • Savvy with respect to the technical concepts and workflows that underpin digital analytics, such as debugging tools (Charles or Firebug), connection proxying, first- vs third-party cookies, data encryption and content management systems
